Tuna in onion sauce

Print

As homage to Portuguese cuisine we would like to present a very simple tuna dish, ready to serve in just 50 minutes. We recommend serving with fado and a glass of wine, ideal for open spaces (terraces or balconies).

Ingredients

Great tip: Choose the ingredients you already have and find out which ones you're missing. Let that help you decide what to cook.

Preparation

  1. Fry chopped onion and tomato in olive oil.

  2. Add apple vinegar and Vegeta and stew for about 10 minutes. When the onion is tender add Gussnel dissolved in a little water and wine.

  3. Sprinkle a few drops of lemon juice over the tuna steaks, add salt, pepper and brown each side in oil for about 5 minutes.

Advice

Instead of tuna fish you can use bonitol.

Serving

Place done tuna steaks on heated plate, pour over with onion sauce and serve with cooked rice as side dish.
