Cookie Usage Policy

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

When you visit https://vegeta.com/en/ we will ask for your consent to use cookies that are not necessary for the website’s functioning.

There are different types of cookies:

a) Strictly necessary cookies – always active
These cookies are necessary for the functioning of the website and cannot be turned off. They are set in response to your actions that amount to a request for services, such as changing your privacy settings, signing in, or filling out forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the website will not then work

b) Functional cookies
These cookies enable the website to provide a more personalized and enhanced browsing experience. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our page. If you do not accept these cookies, some or all services may not function properly.

c) Analytics
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our website. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the website. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our websites, and will not be able to monitor their performance.

Before obtaining your consent, we will inform you of the purpose of the cookies that belong to different categories, and you can read more about the names of different types of cookies and their duration in this Policy, Chapter III.

How do we use cookies?

https://vegeta.com/en/ uses cookies and similar technologies for several purposes, depending on the context or product, including:

1) User input cookies (session-id cookies) and/or persistent cookies limited to a few hours in some cases – we use these to store your preferences and settings on your device and to improve your experience. For example, storing your personal preferences in cookies so that you do not have to re-enter them over and over again. Also, if you opt out of interest-based ads, we store your opt-out choices in a cookie on your device;

2) Authentication cookies, used for authenticated services, for the duration of a browsing session – we use these cookies to authenticate you. They allow you to move from page to page without having to log in again on each page. You can also store your login credentials so that you do not have to go through the login process every time you return to the website;

3) User-centric security cookies, used to detect authentication abuses, for a limited

time – we use these cookies to process information for security purposes and to detect fraud and abuse;

4) Multimedia content player session cookies, such as flash player cookies, for the

duration of a session;

5) Load balancing session cookies, for the duration of the session –  we use these cookies to remember information you give us, and we store such data in a cookie to remember it;

6) Persistent UI customization cookies, for the duration of a session (or slightly longer) – we use these cookies to record your experience preferences or  feedback on the website;

7) Third-party social plug-in content sharing cookies, for logged-in members of a social network – some of our websites contain social media cookies, including cookies that allow logged-in social network users to share content via that network. We use content sharing cookies on websites that allow you to log in and register using a social media account and when you share the website content on social networks (e.g. by using the Like button). The impact on your privacy will vary depending on the social networks you use and your privacy settings on social media. You can find out how to manage these cookies on the relevant social media website.

In addition to these cookies, we also use:

1. Social plug-in tracking cookies;

2. Product and service development and improvement cookies (third-party advertising cookies) – we use cookies to collect information about your online activities and identify your interests so that we can show you ads that are more likely to be of interest to you. You can also opt out of receiving interest-based ads, as described in our Privacy Policy. We also use cookies to track, for example, how many visitors have clicked on an ad and which ads you have seen so that you are not shown the same ones over and over again.

3. Functional cookies (analytics (statistical) cookies) – we use first- and third-party cookies and other identifiers to collect usage and performance data, for example: to count unique visitors accessing a website or service and to create other statistics about our website and product performance or to learn more about the performance of our products in order to improve them (for example, we use cookies to collect data that contribute to optimal load distribution). This allows our websites to work properly.
